A Possible Error in IE8 Can Cause Failures in Safety Equipment
Internet Explorer 8 is taking a ruling that would allow hackers to control users’ computers without special protection. Microsoft has not confirmed the existence of the fault but now recommends the use of security systems EMET. Everything indicates that the fault is caused by the system the browser displays the appearance of websites (system Cascading Style Sheets). Hackers could use a flaw in the system to enter your own code and take control of your computer and can extract data from remote users and perform actions. “This type of vulnerability is the most serious, as it allows remote code execution. Means the attacker can run programs such as malware, directly into the victim’s computer, “said one analyst at Trend Micro, Rik Ferguson.
The news of the possible infringement on the Internet Explorer code contrasts with the intention of Microsoft, recently announced to improve the protection of private data of users with their new browser version. A similar problem would have already caused headaches for makers of Internet Explorer to two years. As reported by the BBC, experts have discovered that despite the updates made by Microsoft, the protections do not cover all parts of the system, so that teams are again vulnerable. From the American company has issued a statement confirming they were investigating the error to create a permanent solution. Meanwhile users are advised to make use of security packages as EMET reports the BBC.
