UIQ 3.0 was the first based on Symbian OS v9.1. One of the first improvements was made in the UIQ version was supported by the graphical user interface for browsing and tactile touch screens. The user interface was improved with SVG Tiny, responsible for the transitions of menus and submenus. UIQ 3.1 was the first revision of UIQ 3, improved the one-handed use, plus other improvements. It was based on Symbian v9.2 UIQ 3.2 is an improvement over v3.1, and improves the Java API including MSA profile and better postal messaging program with MMS, IM client OMA IMPS 1.2, pushes e-mail and allows sharing multimedia for the web browser. The new version still uses the SDK v3.1 SDK and its architecture is based on Symbian v9.2
